This Week’s Market Forecast… 📊
As earnings season draws to a close, this week offers a final glimpse into consumer trends with reports from Macy’s, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Best Buy. These come on the heels of last week’s major updates from Nvidia, Walmart, and Target.
Last week, market attention was largely dominated by Nvidia and Bitcoin, but consumer sentiment was also a focus, driven by the starkly different earnings results from Walmart and Target. Walmart exceeded expectations, delivering strong results and optimistic guidance for the holiday season. Meanwhile, Target faced a sharp decline, reporting its worst earnings since 2022 and suffering a 20% drop in stock value in a single day.
With Thanksgiving on Thursday, this is a shortened trading week. Markets will be closed for the holiday and will observe an early close at 1 PM on Black Friday.
The week is expected to be relatively quiet, with limited catalysts for movement. However, Wednesday brings a key economic update with the release of quarterly GDP data. Beyond that, trading activity is likely to remain subdued.
Wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving filled with family, friends, and gratitude! Take time to appreciate life’s blessings, enjoy delicious meals, catch a football game, and create wonderful memories with loved ones.
My Schedule This Week!
Have a Blessed Weekend!
