This Week’s Market Forecast… 📊

Last week, the market cooled off following a sharp post-election rally that saw indexes jump over 5% to record highs. Optimism around reduced regulation and lower taxes under Trump drove this surge.

The market ended the week at 5,870 after a modest pullback of a couple of percent, likely due to profit-taking. Despite this pause, I believe there’s still room for growth, especially with underperforming sectors outside of tech showing potential.

Looking at the equal-weighted S&P 500, the forward P/E ratio of 17.5 indicates that valuations are not overly stretched. Companies that have lagged over the past two years may help push the market higher as leadership broadens.

November and December are historically strong months for equities, with the potential for the traditional “Santa Claus Rally” to boost momentum.

This week, NVIDIA’s earnings report on Wednesday will be a key focus, with forward guidance likely to move markets. Investors will also watch Fed commentary and PMI reports for additional direction.
